Heat oil over medium and cook salami for 30 seconds. Add onion and garlic and cook for 1 minute until onion turn translucent.
Add carrots, zucchini and cook for 3 minutes.
Add crushed tomato, chicken stock, water, tomato paste, butter beans, salt and pepper. Stir. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, covered.
Add kale and simmer for 3 minutes.
Add pasta and cook according to time in pasta packet MINUS 1 1/2 minutes.
Stir in parmesan. Taste and season with salt and pepper if necessary.
Serve with parsley, grated parmesan and warm toasted bread.
